The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic family fraternal service organization with more than 1.8 million members in over 12,000 councils world-wide. It provides members and their
families with opportunities to deliver volunteer service to their Catholic Church, their communities,
families and young people. Read more about the Knights of Columbus in this Overview Booklet.
As a member of the Knights of Columbus you and your family
enjoy many benefits, including 12 free issues annually of the Columbia magazine, the world's largest Catholic family
magazine, eligibility to join the Knights of Columbus top-ranked Life Insurance program, and many more family and personal benefits.
The Resurrection Council is involved in many annual fundraising activities in support of the new Parish community, and a wide range of worthwhile charities. Youth activities include pizza nights, Parish children's Christmas party, certificates of merit to recognize the efforts of the alter
servers, and Knights of Columbus Basketball Free Throw Championship all the way up to the State level (Saskatchewan).

activities include Blood Drives for the Canadian Blood Services, Collecting for a number of local charities
such as the Blue Mantle, and the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Appeal.
Council activities include a number of charity fund
raisers including Coat Checks at local hotels, helping to man Bingos, selling Knights of Columbus Charity Appeal raffle tickets, Knights of Columbus Dream Lottery tickets, Roughrider Football Pool tickets, and CFL Grey Cup Pool
tickets. We also get together to help our Parish set up for Mass and maintain the grounds of our future Church.

Any Third Degree member in good standing, one year
after the anniversary of his First Degree, is eligible for membership in the Fourth Degree.
The primary purpose of the Fourth Degree is to foster the spirit of patriotism by
promoting responsible citizenship and a love of and loyalty to the Knights' respective countries through
active membership in local Fourth Degree groups (called "assemblies"). Certain members of the Fourth Degree
serve as honour guards at civic and religious functions, an activity that has brought worldwide
recognition to the Knights of Columbus. Membership in the Fourth Degree requires investment in a Tuxedo. The emblem of the 4th degree can be seen on the right.
